As of 1 January 2025, in accordance with a European directive, separate collection of waste textiles has become mandatory in Slovenia. This means that textiles may no longer be disposed of with mixed municipal waste, but must be collected separately and properly handed over for further processing.
At Unichem, we are aware of the importance of sustainable practices and responsible waste management. Therefore, we are among the first in our environment to introduce a systematic solution for the collection of waste textiles. We have provided red containers and reached an agreement with the company Saubermacher for appropriate collection and disposal.
By introducing this practice, we continue to fulfil our commitment to environmental protection and sustainable operations. We believe that through small but meaningful steps, we can together build a cleaner, more responsible, and more sustainable future.
